On January 27th 2009, Western Digital (http://www.westerndigital.com) has launched the industry's first 2TB (http://www.westerndigital.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=576) hard drives. They are available for purchase today. Their current price ($US399) is a little steep for a budget conscious enthusiast like myself, especially considering that I recently purchased another 1TB drive. I will wait a while before purchasing a 2TB drive, but intend to do so before 2010. I also really want it in the WD Caviar Black range and not the Green range. I also wish it had a larger cache.
