We recommend you close all running programs before launching Alice: Madness Returns.

Graphics Performance
--------------------
Always make sure you have the latest video drivers from your video card manufacturer.

If you experience performance issues while playing the game, try changing the following settings one by one until performance improves. These settings can be found under the video section of the in-game Options menu:

- Anti-Aliasing: Disable anti-aliasing. It can be very demanding, especially on levels with higher detail.
- Resolution: Lower the resolution.
- Post Process: Disable to improve performance.
- Dynamic Shadows: Disable to improve performance.
- PHYSX: Lower this setting to improve performance.
- 3D Stereo: Only enable if using an NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ capable Video Card, NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ Active Shutter Glasses, and a compatible 120Hz LCD Display.

If you experience long loading times or hitches during gameplay, we recommend you defragment your hard drive. You can find information on how to defragment your hard drive by searching for "disk defragmenter" in the Windows Help and Support center.
