6) KNOWN ISSUES
_______________________
Old video card drivers may have a negative impact on the games visual quality and performance (ie. invisible characters,
missing buildings or vehicle textures, etc). Please ensure you are using the most up to date drivers provided by ATI or NVIDIA
for your graphics hardware. These drivers are often updated monthly (at time of writing, ATI driver version 10.2 and
NVIDIA 196.21 are most current and are recommended for most users).
For SLI and CrossFire users, NVIDIA and ATI will release an update in the near future which detects the EFLC.exe and
applies the correct profile for SLI and CrossFire. Until this happens you may experience small glitches like
flickering shadows and lights while in SLI or CrossFire modes.
Certain background processes can have a detrimental effect on system performance when playing
EFLC, especially on systems with minimum required system memory. Users should ensure they
disable their Virus scans (especially “on-access” type scans) when running the game to maximize
performance. GTA : EFLC is a CPU intensive application; CPU intensive processes such as
Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service (wmpnetwk.exe) can cause severe performance issues.
If your specific issue is not listed here, check our support website http://www.rockstargames.com/support

8) INDEPENDENCE FM (USER RADIO)
________________________________
For the first time ever, you can now select your own favorite songs to play through
the in-game radio station Independence FM.
Simply place your non DRM’ed MP3s, WMAs, or M4As (or shortcuts to your music
folders) in the file location below:
My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\User Music
Note: Quicktime or iTunes needs to be installed for M4A support.
Independence FM can be accessed just like any other in-game radio station. You can
customize Independence FM by using the following options in the Audio tab of the Pause Menu:
Scanning Modes
Enable Auto Scan - Set this to ON to perform a Quick Scan automatically on game
startup.
Quick Scan - Reads the audio files within your folder and creates a playlist that is used within the game.
Complete Scan - Performs a Quick Scan and analyzes each track to determine an optimum playback volume.
Play Modes
Sequential - Plays through audio files as they appear in your folder, can skip songs.
Shuffle - Plays through audio files randomly, can skip songs.
Radio - Plays through audio files randomly with radio adverts and DJ banter in
between tracks, cannot skip songs.

9) THE GRAPHIC SETTINGS OF GRAND THEFT AUTO: EPISODES FROM LIBERTY CITY PC
_________________________________________________
Graphics settings are limited by system resources by default. 256MB video cards and systems with 1GB
of system RAM (below minimum spec) force minimum settings by default. If a user bypasses these safety
measures using command line arguments and exceeds their system resources, the users gaming experience may be compromised.
Video Mode - Affects video memory and GPU performance.
The resolution settings relate to the amount of available video memory. At 2560*1600 the
game will require 320MB of video memory in addition to all the memory required for content.
At 800*600 the game will require 32MB of video memory in addition to the content. Medium
resolution settings are recommended for most users as higher settings are only usable if
there is available video memory.
Texture Quality - Affects video memory, system memory, CPU and GPU performance.
Texture quality affects the visual quality of the content of the game. High setting for
textures will require 600MB of video memory at a setting of 21 View Distance in addition
to the memory taken by the Video Mode. A medium texture setting is recommended for most users.
Texture Filter Quality - Affects GPU performance.
Texture Filter Quality is also known as Anisotropic filtering. This will adjust the filter quality
used in the world rendering. Medium settings are recommended for most users and will provide
filtering beyond what the console versions can execute.
Water Quality - Affects video memory and GPU performance.
Water quality controls the visual quality of the water in game.
Reflection Resolution - Affects video memory and GPU performance.
Reflection Resolution determines the quality of the reflections seen in water, on cars, mirrors
and any other item that reflects in the world.
Shadow Quality - Affects video memory and GPU performance.
Shadow Quality controls the resolution of all shadows in the world.
Low shadows should only be used with low resolutions.
Night Shadows - Affects video memory, CPU and GPU performance.
Night Shadows controls which nighttime lightsources cast shadows.
Night Shadows is not an available option when the Shadow Quality has been set too low.
These shadows are exclusive to the PC version and can have a major impact on
CPU and GPU performance.
View Distance - Affects CPU and GPU performance, video memory and system memory.
View distance scales the distance in which different objects in the world such as buildings
and cars are seen. Raising this option increases the distance in which high quality objects
must be loaded and will increase the memory it requires. Restrictions are established to
ensure the game runs optimally for most users. A setting of 22 or more will provide PC users
an enhanced experience over the console versions.
*users with 1GB of RAM restricted to view distance of 1 for performance/stability
Detail Distance - Affects CPU and GPU performance.
Detail distance scales aspects of the environment that the View Distance setting does not, this
includes vegetation, trash and other moveable objects. A setting of 10 would be the equivalent
to the performance on a console. This setting has little effect on memory.
Vehicle Density - Affects CPU and GPU performance.
Vehicle density scales the traffic density of the traffic in the game. It has no effect on the
mission vehicles or difficultly of the game, but can have a significant impact on CPU
performance
CrossFire/SLI
With the 8.12 series (or higher) ATI driver the game supports CrossFire modes (ie. 4870x2).
SLI is currently supported when NVIDIA driver 180.84 (or higher) is used.

10) BENCHMARKING
_______________________
General:
In-Game:
Benchmarking can be run from the Graphics section of the start or pause menu. Upon completion,
the tool will display the results in-game as well as writing the results to a file in:
MyDocuments\RockstarGames\TLaD\Benchmarks\ or MyDocuments\RockstarGames\TBoGT\Benchmarks\ respectively.
Command line:
Benchmarking can also be run using command line parameters from outside of the game.
To run benchmarking from the command line, enter the directory where you have installed EFLC and locate
the executable "LaunchEFLC.exe". Create a shortcut to this executable on your desktop. Right click the
shortcut and select "Properties". Within the "Target" field, enter "-benchmark 1" or "-benchmark 2" at the end of the
executable's path (1 for TLad, 2 for TBoGT). Click OK and double click the shortcut you have created to run the benchmarking utility.
You can also add this command line to a commandline.txt file placed in the install folder.
Users can specify their own clips to run in the benchmark utility by adding the File ID to the end of the command line option.
Clip files are located in the following directories:
My Documents\Rockstar Games\TLaD\Videos\Clips
My Documents\Rockstar Games\TBoGT\Videos\Clips
Ex. If the clip file you wish to benchmark is named 081105203237.cli, enter -benchmark 081105203237 in
the target field at the end of the executable's path. The tool will scan both directories to find the desired clip, if it does not
find the specified clip it will play the default clip.
Upon completion the Benchmark tool will exit and write the results to a file in:
MyDocuments\RockstarGames\TLaD\Benchmarks\ or MyDocuments\RockstarGames\TBoGT\Benchmarks\
