In order for the game to run, Windows Vista and Windows 7 users will need to install the update for DirectX 9.0c that is included on the game disc. This is necessary even if DirectX 10 or 11 is installed.
-=INSTALLING=-

- Select "Install" from the Autorun menu.
- Agree to the license agreement, and press "Install".
- Microsoft DirectX 9.0c will automatically be installed in the background.
- Log in to your existing Steam Account, or follow the on-screen instructions to create a new Steam account.
- "Modern Warfare 3" and "Modern Warfare 3 - Multiplayer" will automatically be selected as the games to install. Press next. * Note that Disk space is listed for user information. 16GB are required to install Modern Warfare 3.
- Select whether to install desktop and Start Menu shortcuts.
- The installer will now install the game. When prompted, insert Disc 2 into your DVD-ROM drive.
- Modern Warfare 3 will now be available under the "My Games" list in the Steam client.
- Please allow Steam to make any necessary updates to game.
