Disable Windows 7 Action Center in ten easy steps.

Following is the procedure to disabling the action center completely:

1. Open Action Center from the Control Panel.
2. Click change Action Center settings on the left.
3. Uncheck all of the checkboxes and hit OK.
4. Go to Start > Run > services.msc
5. Scroll down to Security Center, right click > properties and stop the service.
6. Change the startup type to Disabled. Hit OK and close the window.
7. Go to Start > Run > gpedit.msc
8. Browse to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar
9. Find the entry for 'Remove the Action Center Icon', right click > edit, and set it to enabled. Hit OK.
10. Restart PC.
