1. Minimum PC System Requirements
--------------------------------------------
Syndicate™ requires DirectX 9.0c. You can install DirectX 9.0c by following the onscreen prompts during the game's installation process.
REQUIRED SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS:
• OS: Windows XP (SP 3), Windows Vista (SP 2) or Windows 7 (SP 1)
• CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ or higher
• RAM: 2.0 GB Windows XP and Windows 7, 3.0 GB Windows Vista
• Hard Drive: 10.5 Gb or more of free space
• Video: NVIDIA 8800 GT 512 MB / ATI 4650 or better
• Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
• DVD drive or Internet connection (for installation)
Multiplayer:
• Microphone required for VoIP in multiplayer
• 2 to 4 players; Internet connection required (512Kbps or faster)
Note: While you will be able to play Syndicate™ with the specifications above, play experience may improve if you have additional RAM, a faster CPU, better graphic card, or faster Internet connection. The multiplayer experience may vary according to network conditions.

2. Installation
---------------
To install from the Syndicate™ disc:
1. Start your machine and wait for the Windows operating system to load.
2. Place the Syndicate™ disc in the DVD drive.
3. Windows will automatically detect the DVD and launch the autorun options, from which you can select to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Syndicate™. Origin™ will be installed as part of the installation process. If needed, DirectX will be installed or upgraded during the game installation.
4. You will be prompted to log on to Origin™ as part of the installation. You can create a new account, or to log on with an existing account.
5. The installer will prompt for the CD Key which is provided either in your confirmation email, your game manual/packaging, or game card.
6. Syndicate™ will be added to the Start menu, Games Explorer, and Origin.
To access the game:
• from the Start menu, go to All Programs/Games/Syndicate™.
• from Origin™, start Origin™ and go to MY GAMES.
• from the Games Explorer, go to All Programs/Games/Games Explorer
Note: If the Auto-insert notification feature has been disabled or the DVD is not recognized, run AutoRun.exe from the root directory of the DVD to begin the installation program.
Note: Syndicate™ requires the 'Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package' and 'DirectX 9.0c'. These will be installed during the Syndicate™ installation process if you do not already have them.

Please contact the digital retailer through whom you purchased this game for instructions on how to install the game or how to download and reinstall another copy of the game.

3. Uninstall

To uninstall Syndicate™ if your operating system is Windows XP:
1. Click the "Start" button in the Windows taskbar.
2. Click "Control Panel" in the Start menu.
3. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs".
4. Click Syndicate™ in the program list and click the "Remove" button next to its name.
5. Follow the instructions that appear.
To uninstall Syndicate™ if your operating system is Windows Vista / Windows 7:
1. Click the "Start" button in the Windows taskbar.
2. Click "Control Panel" in the Start menu.
3. Click "Uninstall a program" under the "Programs" heading.
4. Double-click Syndicate™ in the program list.
5. Follow the instructions that appear.

4. Default Graphics settings
----------------------------
The first time Syndicate™ is started, a system check is performed and default levels are set for the options on the Graphics menu. These default levels are set to provide the best game play experience possible depending on the hardware detected in your system. You can override these settings via the Video Menu.

The following peripherals are compatible with Syndicate™:
Microsoft Windows compatible keyboard, mouse, and Xbox 360 controller.
You can configure your input device via the Controls Menu.

7. Troubleshooting
------------------
IMPORTANT: Before running Syndicate™, please be sure you have the latest drivers for both your video card and your audio card installed. An outdated video or sound driver can lead to slow and choppy gameplay, or in some cases can prevent the game from running at all. You can download the appropriate drivers from your video and audio card manufacturer's Web site.
If the above does not resolve your problem then please contact EA Technical Support.

8. Saved Games and Screenshots
------------------------------
In Windows XP, saved game files, configuration files, and captured screenshots for Syndicate™ are stored in the "Syndicate" folder. To access the "Syndicate" folder, click the "Start" button in the Windows taskbar,
then click "My Documents".
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, they are stored in the following location:
C:\Users\<your login name>\Documents\Syndicate
To access this folder, click the "Start" button in the Windows Taskbar, then click "Computer" in the Start menu. Then navigate to the folder.
