2. Ubisoft Game Launcher
################################################## ##############################

When the game is launched, you will be asked for your Ubi.com credentials. If you don’t have an Ubi.com account, you will have the opportunity to create one using the interface. Also you will be asked for your CD–KEY information before being able to play the game for the first time.

The Ubisoft Game Launcher will synchronize your save games with the version stored on the Ubisoft servers. That way you can recover your save games from any computer simply by login in with your Ubi.com account.

3. General Notes
################################################## ##############################

3.1. Installing Graphics and Motherboard Drivers

If you experience any graphical problems, please install the latest video and motherboard drivers available for your Graphics Card. Links to the most popular Graphics Card and motherboard manufacturers are available at the bottom of this document.

3.2. Installing Sound Drivers

If you experience any sound problems, please install the latest sound drivers available for your sound card. Links to the most popular sound card manufacturers are available at the bottom of this document.

3.3. Installing DirectX

Shaun White Skateboarding requires DirectX runtime DLLs from February 2010 or later to run properly. To get the latest version of DirectX, please visit: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx

DirectX is also provided on the install disc in the folder Support\DirectX.

If you receive an error message about missing DLL files, reinstall DirectX from the install disc to correct the problem.

3.4. Display / Performance Settings

The following display parameters can be changed from the GameSettings application.
  • Screen Resolution, WideScreen Enable/Disable, Vertical Sync Enable/Disable
  • Antialiasing, None, 2x, 4x,8x
  • Graphics Quality (low, medium, High)
  • High resolution textures Enable/Disable
These parameters are automatically set during the installation according to your PC hardware configuration (CPU, GPU).
The default settings are optimized to both maximal Performance (Frame Per Second) and Visual Quality.
If the game is running correctly, it is recommended to keep the default settings.
You will need to quit and restart the game between each modification.
A bad setting may prevent the game from launching, cause the game to display incorrectly or slow down the game (low frame rate)
If you are not sure, try to modify parameters one setting at a time starting with lowest value (ex : Graphic Quality Low)

3.5. Known Issues / Comments / Hints

Only gamepads with 12 buttons / 2 Axis and a D-pad are supported.
None of the supported controllers are functional in UPlay, except the XBOX 360 controller.
Programmable controllers may not display the right buttons in game.
If the game is started with no audio peripheral connected, the game must be restarted to detect them after they are connected.
Game will start with no sound if the audio frequency is higher than 48000 Hz.
Frame rate issues may be experienced with older video card drivers. To ensure a consistent and optimal frame rate, please make sure you have the latest drivers installed.
