Looks like it may be over for 3D Realms (http://3drealms.com/) as we know it. Duke Nukem Forever may never see the light of day. At any rate, the whole DNF saga now becomes an epic story. I know for a fact that what is going on with this closure is a "trick". Stay tuned.
The 3D Realms forums (http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/index.php) are still live. Yesterday I registered a new account to see what was what. The name I used was taxi583.com (http://www.taxi583.com/). Shortly after, I was visited by someone at Apogee. (Oh, and my account was swiftly deleted.)
